Your guide Dori Bergman is an Outdoor Education Masters Degree student at UNH. She is also an ::Avalon North:: resident artist and paints outdoor art (The Event Image is her original work). Dori was recently invited for an artist residency at the AMC Highland Center in February. She is all around wonderful and will accept snacks in lieu of tips. She really really loves snacks.

A note about winter conditions, Piper Mountain is quite small and almost the entire hike is below tree line, we will advise you of weather conditions the night before, but Dori and her assistant guide, Jocelyn, will be hiking more or less no matter the conditions. In the case of heavy rain or extreme conditions and your willingness to partake, you will be required to bring proper all weather gear and must pass a gear inspection before joining us. Review the hike safe list thoroughly.
