What are your hours?

We are in the process of expanding our hours ::currently::

MON-WED 5:30-8:30

FRI 10am-2pm

These hours are considered open leisure hours for our members to come enjoy the club however they choose. Relax in the library, drink some wine with friends (byob), start a sub club with other members. Shockingly we do not have a knitting circle yet (attn: knitters). These hours are unstructured, although there may be a sub club going on during these hours that you are free to join. We have a pagan mythology study group, an eco dye playdate group, and starting in September we will have our activist arm, the abortion club, ramping up for political action. Come do what you want, be who you be.

Non-members are welcome to stop by for a tour during these hours.

Do I have to be an artist to join?

No way! We are often creatively centered, but we believe this encompasses a broad range of interests. We promise, you qualify.

Are you wheelchair/stroller accessible?

Yes

Are your events kid friendly?

Part of Avalon North’s mission is to work against age division. A subset of that is our wish to engage mothers with children in tow, as we feel much of American society prefers mothers with children to stay at home or confine themselves to the Mcdonald's ball pit. We will actively fight against this compartmentalization of motherhood.

In addition to our kid-centered events programming
Our Child Welcoming Policy is as follows:

  • Infants always welcome at all times without exception.

  • Mildly to Extremely well-behaved Children of all genders under 18 are welcome at all events, (unless otherwise noted in the case of certain adult topics or for some open hours and events where mothers and the rest of us, may enjoy a break from all children including our own)

  • If your child walks a fine line between badly and mildly well behaved (as they all have at certain points in their lives, feel free to come and try, and if you have to take the little darling home, there will be no judgment and you will be reimbursed the cost of your admittance)

  • If the event is not geared specifically for children, please be aware that this is an adult women’s club and adults will be speaking freely and sometimes swears happen. We welcome and adore children, but we do not give them thrones

  • Children under 14 are free with an adult ticket

Do you have childcare?

We would like to. We are working on it.

What do you mean by “women”?

Good question, and one we believe should be answered by each individual for themselves.

What about trans women?

Trans women are women, so let’s not even make that a question anymore.

What about non binary folk, can they come?

By all means, if you feel like celebrating/empowering/exploring what may or may not be your definition of what is feminine about you, please join us. Just no cis men. Please. For like, a minute.

So cis men can never come? What if they want to explore what is feminine about them? Gender is just a social construct.

Yes, we know. Maybe later. We’re thinking about it.
